My name is Destiny Hensley and I moved to Louisiana from Alabama in 2019. My background is nothing fancy or flashy, having primarily been in the food industry my opportunity to help my community was fairly limited. Which is one of the reasons why I decided to start working with Silver Lining. I’ve really enjoyed my time here being part of a team that is so motivated to help others. I can’t wait to help all of our future executive managers get their offices set up and support them and their team.
Hello! My name is Jonah McKinney. If you can think of any kind of job out there I’ve done it. But the most valuable thing I did was serve in the United States Navy. It honed me into the person I am today. It taught me all things can be achieved with the correct level of discipline and a solid game plan. My goal is to teach what I’ve learned to as many people as possible so anyone can achieve their dreams and lead the life they want to have.
I’m Jennifer Naquin, but everyone calls me Jen. I was born and raised in Marrero, LA, but my Cajun roots run deep through Bayou Lafourche where my family has lived since the late 1700’s. Growing up, I was always the stubborn kid who refused to give up on learning as much as I could about the world around me or anything I believed made my life more important regardless of what anyone else thought. This perseverance, along with my ability to adapt and overcome in a variety of atmospheres is what has helped mold me into the person I am today. With an associates degree in Biology, a background in Forensics, thanks to a special class I had the privilege of taking in High School, followed by a 13 year career working behind the scenes in law enforcement as a warrants clerk, evidence, custodian, and IT technician, I never thought that a career in marketing would ever be something I would love and appreciate having the opportunity to explore. What I love about Silver Linings is that I don’t just have a job; I’ve found a family that is passionate, driven, and committed to helping the community around us, while helping lift each other up and continue to learn, build, and grow together as we each work towards our goals. I never go home at the end of the day feeling like I’ve spent a day at work. The best part of all, I’m in control of how fast I grow. I put in the work, I strive to do better each day than the day before, and in a week, I made it into leadership. I’ve learned so much about myself since my first day. My biggest goal is to continue to learn and grow as much as I can while providing a meaningful life for my family. It’s difficult to say how far I’d want to go because I want to learn as much as I can to continue to grow and evolve. Everyday is a new lesson to learn while on another adventure!
Before joining Silver Lining, I spent over five years working in healthcare while also helping my family grow a startup business from the ground up. That season of my life shaped my work ethic and strengthened my love for working closely with people. I’m deeply passionate about community impact and meaningful work. What excites me most about Silver Lining is the opportunity to support nonprofit organizations while helping individuals grow into confident leaders. As a leader, I believe in creating an environment where people feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. I value integrity, discipline, and open communication, and I’m committed to helping those around me grow both personally and professionally.
Growing up as an Italian-American, I am expected to adhere to three main things: never miss a Christmas Eve gathering, tasks done without prompting, and refusing to work at the family business was never an option. Over the years, these expectations molded my character.
They have taught me the importance of a good work ethic and strong leadership, along with driving my desire to become an entrepreneur.
Always knowing I would own my own business, it was only a matter of time until I finally decided what that would look like exactly. Originally in pursuit of having my own practice as a family physician, I received my undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University. After graduating in 2020, I continued to broaden my professional horizons through Silver Lining Marketing. Through this experience, I have learned the value of learning from others and how I can lead others toward success through being an entrepreneur while helping my direct community in New Orleans. Evolving in this business has taught me more than I could ever have imagined and it challenges me every day to push beyond my own boundaries. I am incredibly excited to expand and continue to positively influence my community!
Hello everyone! My name is Joycelyn Fruge, a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Like many others, I started working in high school and developed a very strong work ethic at a young age. In my first job, I worked my way from the ground up to the management role in the restaurant industry. I was in the management role for over 3 years, which taught me ownership and communication skills. I quickly outgrew my role and ventured out to pursue a more meaningful career. This strive for a purpose led me to Silver Lining Marketing. As a team lead here, I have the opportunity to sharpen these skills and build a career in an industry helping our charities expand.
Born and raised in New Orleans. Graduated from college and worked at a hospital in their audiology department troubleshooting and repairing Bluetooth hearing aids for 5 years. Wanted to pivot away from healthcare because I was feeling burnt out in that setting and be in charge of my own business- SLM afforded me that opportunity.
